Hi there!
I’m Monique and my sidekick is Nick, my husband.
Together we have explored over 60 countries by air, train, sea, river, submarine & road (no space shuttles yet but who knows! Anything is possible, right?). We have also partnered on some truly exciting projects such as creating and running a successful Airbnb business, chairing condo boards, purchasing fixer-uppers and renovating them from scratch on our own while balancing all of this with full-time jobs and family responsibilities.
So what’s this blog all about! We’ll help you to get the most out of owning a property whether it’s identifying a great fixer-upper, renovating on a budget, staging to help you get the best price when you sell or setting up an Airbnb/short-term rental.
Much of our blog is focused on our travel experiences, the places that we’ve been to, some of which are not typical mainstream destinations (I’m thinking of places like Senegal, Pakistan, Croatia, Slovenia & Paraguay).
